Dawn Dawn Taylor (EN <> PT, SP > EN, SP > PT) is a Freelance Translator and PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature and Latin American Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. She holds a BA in Letters, Arts, and Sciences and an MA in Comparative Literature. She is completely bilingual and bicultural (US English and Brazilian Portuguese). Moreover, she has studied Latin American Spanish languages and literatures for many years and lived in Mexico. She has worked as a contributing freelance translator for over 10 years and today is completely dedicated to her translation career. In addition to literary and arts & humanities translations supported by her education, Dawn also specializes in medical and travel & tourism translations. As an undergraduate, she took several courses in biology, including Life Sciences, Human Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology, and she worked as an operations manager for an international hotel operator in Brazil for four years. DadR. Brian Taylor (PT > EN and SP > EN) has been a freelance translator for more than 35 years. He holds degrees in Spanish and International Business from the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and a graduate degree in Marketing from the Universidade do Sagrado Coração (Sacred Heart University) in Brazil. In addition to an extensive list of areas of specialization and an even longer list of clients, Brian’s literary translation projects include Pedro Bandeira’s The Heads Series (2006) into English and Mary J. M. Thereza Taylor (EN > PT) has been a freelance translator for more than 15 years. She holds a degree in Business Administration and her years as a professional in the restaurant industry have contributed to her knowledge of finance, economics, and information technology, which are her areas of specialization today.
